The Los Angeles Rams are headed to the Super Bowl for the first time in three years, making NFL history in their fifth Super Bowl appearance as a franchise. Los Angeles will become the first team to play in a conference championship game and a Super Bowl in their own stadium, as both games will be played at SoFi Stadium. The Rams were one of those teams, as they played at the Rose Bowl in Super Bowl XIV – but they played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. All four of those previous teams won the Super Bowl, but that streak will come to an end since the Rams and Bengals will be playing each other in Super Bowl LVI.
Last season, the Buccaneers became the first team to “Host” the league’s championship game since Jan. 2, 1966 – when the Packers defeated the Cleveland Browns in the 1965 NFL Championship at Lambeau Field.
