Baker Mayfield didn’t even play, but the wrap of another NFL weekend didn’t put the Cleveland Browns quarterback in the greatest light, all thanks to Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham, now “Free” of Mayfield, as the Twitter movement demanded, was the Rams best offensive first-half weapon as LA built a 21-0 lead before halftime in their Wild Card matchup against the Cardinals.
Now, just months after Beckham’s dad re-tweeted the highlight video of Mayfield missing his wide-open son, you wonder why the two struggled so much to get on the same page.
There will continue to be rumors throughout the season, largely because Mayfield was so terrible when the Browns were built to contend. Remember, the Browns walked the quarterback desert for almost 20 years before finding a quarterback capable of leading them to the playoffs in Mayfield.
